Throughout our many years of travel, we have chronicled our adventures through writing, film and photography.  Below is just a small sampling of our photographs - with many more adventures to come!

Looking up!  A selection of cloud photos from the United States.

We've become especially intrigued with clouds since joining the Cloud Appreciation Society.

Photographs celebrating the life-saving history of lighthouses

I can think of no other edifice constructed by man as altruistic as a lighthouse.

They were built only to serve. – George Bernard Shaw

Photographs celebrating the richness of our national parks

There is nothing so American as our national parks...The fundamental ideal behind the parks...

is that the country belongs to the people...that it is in process of making for the enrichment

of the lives of all of us.  —Theodore Roosevelt

A collection of our photos of shorebirds, wading birds, and other birds we've discovered in our travels.

A selection of photos from the classes we taught for people with disabilities. In most cases, we used simple digital point-and-shoot cameras and tripods.  In class, we discussed elements of photography, such as composition and use of available light, and we made excursions into the city in search of interesting subject matter.  We also brought in fruits, vegetables, flowers, odd dishes, and other items from home for inclusion in their still lifes. Our motto was "It's Just Pixels," which encouraged them to shoot freely.  We conducted reviews of their photos, and they learned how to critique and support each other.

Ultimately, their photos were included in an exhibit at a local art gallery.

Grand Manan Island, Canada

We explored this island and several neighboring islands, where we photographed
