A collection of our photos of shorebirds, wading birds, and other birds we've discovered in our travels.
A selection of photos from the classes we taught for people with disabilities. In most cases, we used simple digital point-and-shoot cameras and tripods. In class, we discussed elements of photography, such as composition and use of available light, and we made excursions into the city in search of interesting subject matter. We also brought in fruits, vegetables, flowers, odd dishes, and other items from home for inclusion in their still lifes. Our motto was "It's Just Pixels," which encouraged them to shoot freely. We conducted reviews of their photos, and they learned how to critique and support each other.
Ultimately, their photos were included in an exhibit at a local art gallery.
